Holiday season is coming on the corner, The 2nd Taipei Chess Grand Prix 2017 will be held on Jan 21-22.
Regulations in English
1.1. The 2nd Taipei Chess Grand Prix, will be held on Jan. 21-22, 2017.
- Participation, registration fee and play venue
2.1 The players who can participate in the 2nd Taipei Chess Grand Prix need to fulfill the following criteria: players must be members of Taipei Chess Association.
2.2 Players’ registration fee: NT$1500 with eligible membership, 2 luncheon included, non-members: NT$2000 exclude lunch box.
2.3 Playing venue: Taiwan Chase Chess Academy (24 registered players accepted.)
- Tournament schedule
3.1 The 2nd Taipei Chess Grand Prix consists of 6 rounds, with time control
3.2 Tournament registration opens 3 days before the start of tournament and closes when the tournament starts : 1/18/2017
3.3 The tournaments’ starting time are as below

3.4 Provisional results shall be announced at the end of the tournament.
3.5 Final tournament results and cash award will be giving away at the same day of tournament.
- Time Control
4.1 The tournament is 6 round Swiss tournaments.
4.2 The time control of the classic tournaments is 45 minutes with 30 sec increment per move.
- Tournament Tie Breaks
5.1 If there is a tie for the winners after round 7, these ties will be resolved in the following order: a) Buccholz 1, b) Buccholz Median, c) Buccholz total
- Cash Prizes
6.1 All players are eligible for cash prizes.
6.2 The top 6 winners of this tournament, after tie break is resolved, shall receive 1 year of free Taiwan Chase Chess Academy membership, which can enjoy lot of benefit, including free of charge master level training and many well-designed seminar…and so on.
6.3 The top 6 The 2nd Taipei Chess Grand Prix winners in the final rankings receive the following cash prizes: 1 year free membership of Taiwan Chase Chess Academy attached below:

Or 40% of sum of cash withdrawal of NT$500 from each player participated in the tournament which exceed NT$5000.

|4th||9% of sum of cash withdrawal of NT$500 from each player participated in the tournament|

|6th||4% of sum of cash withdrawal of NT$500 from each player participated in the tournament|

- Amendments to the regulations
11.1 These regulations may be changed without prior notice. Taiwan Chase Chess Academy reserves the right to supplement this Regulation by subsequent changes to improve the performance of the event.
